A unique high-power SWIR led is introduced to extend the wavelength
EPIGAP OSA Photonics GmbH announces the launch of a range of high-power SWIR leds. The unique OCI-490 series features an extended wavelength range from >1720nm to 2300nm with significant 1A and 41mW light outputs. The energy-efficient SWIR led family offers powerful lighting, very low heat output, extended life, and reduced maintenance and replacement costs, making it ideal for mission-critical operations.
Reliable, high-power devices are available for non-invasive imaging. Invisible to the naked eye, these new SWIR leds provide discreet biometric and surveillance imaging for the medical, industrial, and defense markets. When used for material identification, extended wavelength SWIR leds display unique material properties to improve sorting and quality control tasks in the pharmaceutical and agricultural industries. The SWIR wavelength in the high-power LED package improves visibility when imaging through dust, fog and smoke, with highly reliable results in harsh environments such as extreme heat, humidity or vibration.
The company offers a broad portfolio of led products, from ultraviolet (200nm) wavelengths to SWIR (2300nm), enabling rapid prototyping and product design for specific applications.
