     Vishay has announced the release of three new 200Ω precision monolithic quad single-throw (SPST) analog switches - DG2501, DG2502 and DG2503 - in an ultra-small WCSP 4 convex x 4 convex array package. The three Vishay Siliconix devices are among the smallest in the industry, saving valuable space for products such as wearable electronics, sensors, consumer and communication devices, while achieving high accuracy with low parasitic capacitance, low charge injection and low leakage current.

    With a 1.4mm x 1.4mm, 0.35mm pitch, and top-side layering for increased durability, the switches pushed today are 50% smaller than the closest competing devices and 95% smaller than those in the standard QFN16 package. The DG2501, DG2502, and DG2503 are small, with typical power consumption of less than 0.01μW to extend battery life, making them ideal for analog front-end signal switching, programmable gain control, sampling-and-hold circuits, and more. And multiplex analog input multiplexing in smartwatches, medical stickers, fitness monitors, sensors, and other similar products that make up the Internet of Things (IoT).

     These switches have CD(OFF) as low as 2.6pF, CD(ON) as low as 7.6pF, charge injection as low as -0.7pC, and a typical switching on-leakage current of 9pA. DG2501, DG2502, and DG2503 have ESD protection tolerances greater than 8kV(mannequin) and latch currents greater than 800mA per JESD78. When turned on, each switch conducts electricity equally well in both directions, supporting analog signals up to the supply voltage.

     DG2501, DG2502, and DG2503 have four independent, optional SPST switches that each match the channel capacitance well. DG2501 is a normally closed switch, and DG2502 is a normally open switch. DG2503 has two normally on and two normally off switches. These three devices are guaranteed to be able to operate first before closing and can be used in multiplexers. These switches operate with a single supply of 1.8V to 5.5V and have logical thresholds of 1.4V and 1.8V respectively at 3V and 5V inputs, ensuring compatibility with low voltage TTL/CMOS levels. Devices comply with RoHS and Vishay green standards and are halogen-free.
