Vishay introduces a new series of radial leads for Negative temperature coefficient (PTC) detection of thermistors

     Vishay Intertechnology has announced the launch of a new series of radial leads for negative temperature coefficient (PTC) detection thermistors - PTCSL03. The Vishay BCcomponents PTCSL03 series devices have a diameter of less than 4.0mm, specified temperature classes from +80 ° C to +150 ° C, and standard temperature tolerances of ±5 ° C, enabling small volume and accurate remote overtemperature detection in new energy, industrial and consumer applications.

     The device has excellent stability characteristics, after 1000 hours ΔT≤1℃, in the power supply, power inverter, motor drive, lighting drive, intelligent fuse box and pump motor can achieve reliable overtemperature protection and control. The sensor has a maximum R25 of 120Ω, a maximum voltage of 30V, a heat dissipation factor of 5mW/K, and a fast thermal time constant of 6 seconds.

     The PTCSL03 series devices are composed of medium resistivity barium titanate doped ceramic plates and copper-coated steel leads. The sensor has a robust construction and high temperature resistant silicone coating, and can also be supplied with bare particles on request. Devices are RoHS compliant and available in roll and bag packaging.
