Vishay Intertechnology has announced the introduction of a new automotive grade IHLP ultra-thin, high-current inductor in 3232 form factor, the industry's first inductor capable of operating at +180 ° C.      Operating at frequencies up to 2MHz, the device exceeds the requirements of the AEC-Q200 and provides a high-performance, space - and energy-saving solution for DC/DC converters and high-current noise filters in automotive systems at high temperatures. Applications include engine and transmission control units, fuel injection drives, motor noise suppression, wipers, HID and LED lighting, and heating and ventilation ventilation units.

     The IHLP-3232DZ-8A can handle high transient current spikes without hard saturation. The device is packaged in a 100% lead-free shielded composite structure that reduces buzzer noise to ultra-low levels, provides a specified operating temperature range of -50 ° C to +180 ° C, and has strong resistance to shock, moisture, mechanical shock and vibration. Inductors comply with RoHS and Vishay green standards and are halogen-free.
