Vishay Intertechnology has introduced four new recovery rectifiers in a fully isolated package

     Vishay Intertechnology announced, Four new FRED Pt fifth generation 600 V Hyperfast recovery rectifier models are available in TO-220 FullPAK 2L fully isolated package -12 A VS-E5TW1206FP-N3 and VS-E5TX1206FP-N3 and 15 A VS-E5TW1506FP-N3 and VS-E5TX1506FP-N3. This series of rectifier reverse recovery performance reaches the industry's advanced level, improving the efficiency of intermediate frequency inverters and soft and hard switches or resonant circuits.

     The reverse recovery charge (Qrr) of the device is 60% lower than the previous generation solution, while the recovery loss is reduced by 90%. In addition, the rectifier reverse recovery energy (Erec) increases by 10 percent compared to its nearest competitor, and soft recovery helps to reduce EMI and operate more stably over the entire operating temperature range, thereby improving thermal performance.

     With the latest introduction of the 5th Generation of 600V FRED Pt series rectifiers, Vishay extends the benefits of high-end Si technology to different circuit topologies, including conventional and bridless power factor correction (PFC) front-end configurations. The devices can be used as AC/DC and DC/DC power level outputs and PFC rectifiers for industrial applications in air conditioners, non-on-board chargers, lighting, hybrid solar inverters and UPS to ensure system reliability and stability without compromising performance.

     VS-E5TW1206FP-N3, VS-E5TX1206FP-N3, VS-E5TW1506FP-N3, and VS-E5TX1506FP-N3 are available in X and new W speed types. For CCM modes up to 100k Hz and resonant circuits with low di/dt at 350K Hz, W-type rectifiers have the advantage of low Qrr and X-type rectifiers have the advantage of low forward voltage. The device is RoHS-compliant, halogen-free, operates at +175 °C, and has an insulation voltage of 2500 V.
