The first company to offer 240W of power through a single USB-C port

     Pulsiv Limited has become the first company in the world to offer 240W of power through a single USB-C port. This breakthrough was developed by combining the Pulsiv OSMIUM front-end design with an industry-standard flyback design that passes stringent EMC/Line Current requirements and promises to transform the global charging market.

     Existing 240W USB-C chargers distribute power through multiple ports, with a single 1C port providing up to 140W. This leaves many higher power applications, including monitors, gaming laptops, and small home appliances, unable to benefit from the universal USB-C interface and fast charging protocol. Traditional Boost PFC+ llc designs are notoriously noisy, so EMC compliance can be challenging. They are expensive and do not respond well to variable output voltages or rapidly changing load demands. OSMIUM technology solves all of these problems by allowing flyback topology to be used at higher power levels.

     Delivering 240W of power has a huge impact on reducing the charging time of almost any battery-powered product. Pulsiv's Chief Product Officer, Dr. Tim Moore, who is also the former CTO of consumer brands SharkNinja and GHD, understands this better than most, commenting, "The small appliance market has been anxiously waiting for USB-C technology to achieve higher power levels.
