TDK PF1500B-360 AC/DC power factor correction module

TDK-Lambda's PF1500B-360 full brick PUs are rated to 1512 W (when input range is 170 V to 265 V) or 1008 W (when input range is 85 V to 265 V). The module provides non-isolated regulated 360 VDC output with a power factor of 0.98. The PF1500B-360 is ideal for high voltage power systems that use isolated DC/DC converters in distributed power architecture configurations, or for loads that require a high voltage source. Other applications include LED lighting, semiconductor manufacturing, and custom power supplies using power module based solutions.

The PF1500B-360 comes in an industry-standard full-brick package with a length of 116.8 mm, width of 61 mm, and height of 12.7 mm (4.6" x 2.4" x 0.5"), enabling a thin design. With an efficiency of up to 96.5%, the module can operate reliably at base plate temperatures of +100°C and ambient temperatures of -40°C to +85°C.

Standard features include 10 V to 16 V 10 mA auxiliary voltage, remote on/off, a good inverter, and a signal indicating that the output voltage exceeds 350 V for the isolated DC/DC converter to begin operating. Up to three modules can be paralleled and current equalized to provide additional power.

Input and output isolation to ground is 2,500 VAC. Safety certification in accordance with IEC/EN/CSA/UL 62368-1, and with low voltage and RoHS directive CE/UKCA mark. Through an external circuit, the PF1500B-360 will meet radiation and conducted noise requirements and comply with IEC 61000-4 immunity standards.
