STMicroelectronics HVLED101 High power factor flyback controller

HVLED101 is an enhanced peak-current mode controller capable of controlling high power factor (HPF) flyback or booster topologies with output power up to 180 W. Several other topologies can be implemented, such as buck, boost, and SEPIC. The chip can be independently applied to the output voltage of the primary side regulation and optical coupling control, which can achieve accurate regulation, but also to achieve a very low standby power when no load.

The innovative ST High voltage technology allows HVLED101 to be connected directly to the input voltage in order to start the device and monitor the input voltage without the need for external components. Effectively control the open circuit, output short circuit, input overvoltage and undervoltage, external protection circuit, main switch open loop, overcurrent and other abnormal circuit faults. Built-in Intelligent Automatic Restart Timer (ART) function to ensure that applications automatically resume without any loss of reliability.
