Renesas RL78/G15 RL78 MCU supports ambient operating temperature ranges from -40°C to +85°C, -40°C to +105°C, and -40°C to +125°C. A small 3 mm x 3 mm 8 pin package with a rich serial interface makes it suitable for a wide range of applications. The functionality of the RL78/G15 has been simplified, but still includes extensive serial interfaces, comparators, and other useful features. It has a standby function to reduce power consumption. You can select two low-power modes, HALT mode and STOP mode.

 

The HALT mode reduces the power consumption of the normal mode by 80%. The STOP mode is more efficient, reducing power consumption by 99% more than the HALT mode. Powered by an intelligent configurator, Arduino, and a rapid prototyping board, the RL78/G15 makes application design easier for engineers. It uses simple peripheral functions suitable for entering the 8-bit MCU market and reduces BOM cost by built-in high-precision HOCO, comparator and data flash memory to achieve the purpose of replacing the existing 8-bit MCU competitors.
