Renesas Electronics introduces the RX65N/RX651 MCU enhancement. Industrial iot Security
Renesas Electronics, Inc., a leading global provider of semiconductor solutions, has announced the expansion of its popular RX65N/RX651 microcontroller (MCU) family to meet the higher security requirements of industrial automation, building automation and smart meter systems. The expanded microcontroller integrates TrustedSecureIP(TSIP), along with enhanced reliable flash capabilities and human machine interface (HMI) for industrial and network control systems.

With an increasing number of devices operating at the edge of the Industrial Internet of Things (IloT), system manufacturers are increasingly demanding network connectivity security and reliability, including secure mobile firmware updates. The extended RX65N/RX651 family of products addresses these increasing security and reprogramming needs, providing integrated TSIP, enhanced flash protection and other advanced technologies to create a secure and stable integrated solution that outperforms market equivalents and is certified by the Encryption Algorithm Verification Program (CAVP). In turn, these security technology upgrades also enable seamless flash firmware updates in the field through secure network communication.
