QORVO offers a complete set of ZigBee-based intelligent voice assistant systems

     Qorvo announced that its multi-stack, multi-protocol GP712 on-chip system has been applied to the new ZigBee-based HUMAXChorus voice Assistant. This combination integrates gateways, sensor devices, cloud platforms, and mobile applications to bring operators a complete set of smart home systems and drive the Internet of Things (IoT). Voice assistants are driving the growth of the smart home market. According to Gartner's report, the global end-user spending on wireless speakers that support virtual personal assistants (Vpas) is expected to increase from $720 million in 2016 to $3.52 billion by 2021.

     The GP712 supports ZigBee and Thread in different RF channels, enabling designers to use a single transceiver for multiple gateway products, thus serving both protocols simultaneously. In this way, the gateway device can avoid being obsolete due to the upgrading of protocol standards. The GP712 also features Qorvo's best-in-class operating range and low power consumption, with reliable RF technology that limits interference.

     GP712 is not only the first ZigBee3.0 compatible platform, but also the industry's first multichannel iot transceiver certified by the Thread protocol.
