Primeview introduces displays with embedded HDBaseT technology
Primeview has announced the development of the PRV42WRCHDBT, the first display with embedded HDBaseTTM technology. Primeview's PRV42WRCHDBT supports HDBaseT transmission of uncompressed HD video, audio and control signals over a 100 m /328 ft LAN cable. The Primeview display is a 42-inch LCD display that receives 1080P video, audio and control signals from any HDBASET-enabled transmitter over a single Ethernet cable to meet the demand for high-quality transmission from long distances. It has extremely low power consumption, LED backlight and is designed for uninterrupted commercial use.
Primeview has designed a new video board to support the broad signal bandwidth supported by the HDBaseT standard. Primeview also plans to develop a full line of HDBaseT technology embedded displays that are compatible with any manufacturer that uses standard HDBaseT TX transmitter chips in their devices. HDBaseT technology, developed by Valens Semiconductor and optimized for video applications, connects all entertainment devices in the environment through the 5Play™ feature set - all uncompressed HD video, audio, Ethernet, power (100W) and control signals.
To further support the development of HDBaseT technology, Primeview recently joined the HDBaseT Alliance - a consortium led by LG Electronics, Samsung Electronics, Sony Pictures Entertainment and Valens Semiconductor has formed a multi-industry consortium to standardize HDBaseT technology for the delivery of uncompressed high-definition multimedia content. Primeview is working with market leaders from multiple sectors of the digital media chain to develop future specifications, increase marketing efforts, and provide the industry with HDBASet-enabled equipment.
