Panasonic's PAN1781 series RF modules are Panasonic's high technology RF module devices with Nordic nRF52820 microcontroller. This new addition to Panasonic's Wireless Connectivity RF module product line is ideal for wireless connectivity applications in the Internet of Things. The Nordic SDK is the best way to easily implement applications on the PAN1781 family of RF modules. In addition to the nRF5 SDK, Nordic also provides SDKS for Mesh, Thread, and Zigbee

With high output power of up to 8 dBm and high sensitivity of Nordic nRF52820, combined with LE coded PHY, the PAN1781 series RF modules are very attractive for applications requiring long distances. It also supports Bluetooth Mesh, Thread, and Zigbee Mesh protocols.

The ultra-low current consumption of the PAN1781 series makes the module ideal for battery-powered devices. Powered by a Cortex® M4 processor, 32 KB of RAM, and 256 kB of built-in flash memory, the PAN1781 series can easily run on a single machine, eliminating the need for an external processor and reducing system complexity, space, and cost.

The 128-bit AES/ECB/CCM/AAR co-processor can be used for instant packet encryption, which means the PAN1781 series RF modules can provide high Bluetooth security in a small package and are ideal for wireless connected applications that require remote transmission, such as smart homes, industrial, and more.

The PAN1781 Series Assessment Kit comes in a small box. The board features an Arduino base surface that allows hardware access to module pins as well as easily stacking individual sensor test shields. The PAN1781 series evaluation suite supports rapid prototyping and software testing.
