ON Semiconductor introduces 100 V bridge power level modules

     ON Semiconductor has introduced the industry's first 100 V bridge power level module, the FDMF8811, for half-bridge and full-bridge isolated DC-DC converters. The device is rated at 25 A and integrates a 120 V driver IC, a bootstrap diode, and two energy-efficient power MOSFETs in a PQFN-36 package.

     Compared to discrete solutions, the FDMF8811 reduces the board area required for DC-DC converter designs by about one-third, enabling engineers to design smaller systems. If space is not an issue, the FDMF8811 can also increase power delivery within the existing available board area. The FDMF8811 is ideal for cloud applications such as wireless base stations, power modules or any onboard, isolated DC-DC converters and industrial applications such as motor drivers, fans and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC).

     By integrating all key power components, ON Semiconductor optimizes driver and MOSFET dynamic performance, system parasitic inductance, and power MOSFET RDS(ON) designs to maintain the highest possible energy efficiency. The FDMF8811 delivers more than 97% system energy efficiency in full-bridge 600W applications.
