Nexperia enters strategic partnership with Mitsubishi Electric for SiC MOSFET discrete products

     Nexperia announced a strategic partnership with Mitsubishi Electric Corporation to jointly develop silicon carbide (SiC) MOSFET discrete products. Nexperia and Mitsubishi Electric, both leaders in their respective industries, have teamed up to develop technologies that will drive the energy efficiency and performance of SiC wide band gap semiconductors to new heights, while meeting the rapidly growing demand for highly efficient discrete power semiconductors.

     Mitsubishi Electric's power semiconductor products help customers achieve significant energy savings in a wide range of sectors, including automotive, home appliances, industrial equipment and traction motors. The high performance SiC module products provided by the company have a reputation in the industry for reliable performance. Japan's award-winning high-speed Shinkansen trains use these modules and are known for their efficiency, safety and reliability.

     Nexperia has decades of experience in component development, production and certification. As a trusted large supplier of basic commercial silicon semiconductors, Nexperia now also offers high quality wide band gap devices designed to meet the growing demand for efficient and reliable power semiconductors.
