NXP and GAC Group jointly develop a new generation of vehicle gateway platform
NXP Semiconductor announced that it will work with GAC Group to jointly develop a new generation of vehicle gateway platform based on Ethernet and security, thus promoting the landing of the Ethernet gateway project independently developed by the first domestic vehicle manufacturing enterprise. NXP will provide a reference design and complete gateway solution for the development of the platform, covering semiconductor devices such as microcontrollers and network interfaces. The two sides will directly carry out technical cooperation between semiconductor enterprises and vehicle manufacturing enterprises to achieve breakthroughs and innovations in the ecological cooperation mode of China's automotive industry.
The gateway solution provided by NXP for GAC Group has a unique advantage in hardware and software development. The solution realizes the network architecture based on Ethernet and CAN/CAN FD, effectively reduces the network cost, and improves the performance and reliability of the gateway. At the same time, the solution supports the latest automotive Ethernet technology (100Base-T1), Automotive Open System Architecture (AutoSAR), and over the Air Firmware Upgrade (FOTA) technology, as well as other advanced system technical support, which minimizes the development process for users. In addition, in response to the latest requirements of the gateway in functional safety and hardware encryption security, NXP's solution can meet the ASIL-B functional safety level, and equipped with hardware security module (HSM), to provide highly reliable high-performance protection for the vehicle environment, demonstrating NXP's pursuit of security in the field of security.
