Microchip's maXTouch touchscreen controller family is designed specifically for automotive large-screen Hmis

     Microchip Technology, the world's leading provider of integrated microcontroller, mixed-signal, emulator and flash patented solutions, introduces the new maXTouch family of touchscreen controllers. The MXT1665T-A series of automotive grade touch screen controllers are specifically designed for automotive large screen human machine interface (HMI) applications. The new device brings the same user experience to car drivers and passengers as a multi-touch HMI on a mobile phone, suitable for screens between 8 and 15 inches in size.

     The MXT1665T-A series features Microchip adaptive touch technology that integrates self-capacitive touch and mutual capacitive touch scanning capabilities. The perfect combination of the two capacitive touch technologies enables an excellent multi-touch experience even in thick cover plates, thick gloves, or wet and wet conditions. Fully compliant with AEC Q100, the range meets all the unique needs of automotive system designers.

     The MXT1665T is an "upgraded version" of the MXT641T-A series. They not only inherit the performance of the previous generation, which was developed specifically for automotive applications, but also offer new features specifically for larger screens over 10 inches. The MXT1665T-A series supports screen sizes ranging from 8 to 15 inches, while also recognizing fine multi-finger separation touch operations.
