Littelfuse SPA diodes protect 28nm chipsets from ESD damage

     Littelfuse announced the launch of the 0.9pF +30kV distributed unidirectional Transient Suppression Diode Array (SPA@ diode) family. The SP3222 series transient suppression diode array combines a low capacitance rail to rail diode with an additional Zener diode diode to protect electronic devices from destructive electrostatic discharge (ESD). This powerful - electrode is AEC-Q101 compliant and safely absorbs repeated ESD discharges above the highest levels specified by international standards without degradation in performance.

     The low load capacitance makes it ideal for ESD protection with high-speed data cables such as MIPI cameras and displays, USB2.0, USB3 0, and eSATA. This family is ideal for protecting the latest sensitive chipsets with geometric sizes of 28nm and below from damaging ESD damage.

     Other applications for the SP3222 series of transient suppression diode arrays include high-speed serial interfaces, MHL, DisplayPort 1.3, set-top boxes, game consoles, smartphones, external storage devices, laptops, ultrabooks, tablets, and e-readers.
