TDK-Lambda's PH1200A280 full brick DC/DC converter is rated at 1200w with inputs from 200 VDC to 425 VDC. Modules provide isolation and adjust 12v, 24v, 28v, 36v and 48v outputs. The converter is ideal for 380vdc input distributed power systems using unisolated AC/DC power supplies. Other applications include semiconductor manufacturing, communication systems, test and measurement, and custom power supplies using power module based solutions.
The PH1200A280 comes in an industry-standard full brick package, measuring 116.8mm long, 61mm wide and 12.7mm high (4.6" x 2.0" x 0.5") for a low profile design. The module can operate reliably in ambient temperatures from -40°C to 85°C and base plate temperatures from -40°C to +100°C. Up to 94% efficiency reduces internal waste heat generation and simplifies cooling using optional radiators or conduction to cold plates.
Standard features include remote sensing, remote control on/off, inverter good signal, and a 10 V to 14 V auxiliary voltage. Up to 11 modules can be current-shared in parallel to provide additional power and provide an internal O-ring for redundant operation of the FET. The PH1200A280 has a wide output adjustment range -40% to +20% from nominal use of trimmer terminals for non-standard voltages.
Input to output isolation is 3,000 VAC, input to baseboard is 2,500 VAC, and output to floor is 500 VAC. Safety certification complies with IEC/EN/CSA/UL 62368-1 and has CE/UKCA low voltage and RoHS instruction marks. Through the external circuit, the PH1200A280 will meet both radiated and conducted radiation and comply with IEC 61000-4 immunity standards.
