Intertec and BCG Consulting Group launch enterprise-level generative AI solutions

     BCG and Intel have announced a strategic partnership to leverage end-to-end Intel AI hardware and software to enable generative AI (GenAI) to provide enterprise customers with fully customized proprietary solutions while isolating private data in a trusted environment.

     "Generative AI is an emerging and dynamic field, which means companies must choose the right technology to drive their generative AI journey," said Suchi Srinivasan, managing director and partner at BCG. "The technology must be enterprise-wide from the start, with privacy, security, ease of use and scalability. Our partnership with Intel enables companies to gain an edge in the industry through custom, generative AI solutions, while more thoughtfully responding to and extracting maximum value from the changes in required people, processes and policies."

     Scaling AI across the enterprise continues to be a challenge for all industries today. While a new wave of generative AI has the potential to transform the industry and build on long-term advantages, the inherent risks associated with data privacy and security are a major obstacle today. The collaboration with BCG is based on embedded security technology to better protect data today and in the future. According to a joint study by BCG and MIT Sloan Management Review, 84 per cent of managers globally believe that responsible AI (RAI) should be at the top of the management agenda, yet only 25 per cent of companies have a comprehensive RAI plan in place.

     Currently, enterprises are trying to explore new ways to monitor and manage large-scale generative AI solutions and integrate them into existing enterprise workflows. The Intel-BCG partnership provides an out-of-the-box, proven enterprise solution that allows companies to easily meet their scaling and lifecycle management needs in a more cost-effective manner.

     BCG takes full advantage of Intel's AI supercomputer with Intel Xeon expandable processors and Habana Gaudi AI hardware accelerators, as well as ready-to-production, large-scale hybrid cloud software capable of training domain-specific base models on BCG proprietary data. The underlying model provides insights based on highly confidential proprietary data over the past 50 years. At the same time, all AI training and reasoning fully comply with BCG's safety standards.

     On a custom natural language chatbot interface powered by Intel AI hardware and software, BCG employees are able to retrieve, extract, and summarize valid information from lengthy, multi-page document lists through semantic search. Users reported a 41% increase in user satisfaction, a 25% increase in results accuracy, and a 39% increase in job completion compared to existing keyword search solutions using production-level generative AI applications used by their employees.

     The joint solutions resulting from this collaboration are designed to solve practical business problems, such as providing an automated portfolio management agent for the asset management industry; Providing maintenance operations to airlines through proprietary data; And more secure software development agents with custom secret code bases.
