Intelligent accelerometer for wearable and always-aware applications

     STMicroelectronics LIS2DUX12 and LIS2DUXS12 AI Enhanced Intelligent accelerometer. These accelerometers use STMicroelectronics third generation MEMS technology to accurately detect events and gestures with high accuracy and low power consumption. The new smart accelerometer supports a range of always-aware applications, including wearables, game controllers, portable medical devices, asset trackers and wireless sensor nodes. These AI-enhanced devices also have a built-in machine learning kernel with self-adaptive and self-configurable capabilities to reduce the workload of the host and achieve faster system response.

     STMicroelectronics LIS2DUX12 AI Enhanced Intelligent accelerometer is a digital intelligent three-axis accelerometer. The LIS2DUX12 MEMS and ASIC combine features such as low power and normally open anti-aliasing filtering and finite state machines. The feature-rich accelerometer comes in four performance modes, including 10.8µA high performance mode with anti-aliasing filter, 6.2µA low power mode with anti-confusion filter, 2.7µA low power mode, and only 0.01µA outage mode.

     LIS2DUXS12 AI enhanced intelligent accelerometer built-in unique Qvar® sensing channel and analog hub, can sense changes in the surrounding electrostatic environment, so as to achieve presence and proximity detection. The Qvar sensing channel allows developers to add additional value to applications such as liquid detection, biometric sensing, and user interface control.
