Infineon has joined hands with Green Hills Software to provide complete automotive safety solutions based on TRAVEO T2G series microcontrollers
Infineon Technologies has partnered with Green Hills Software, a global leader in embedded security, to provide a complete ecosystem for the development and deployment of advanced security applications in the automotive industry. The partnership combines Infineon's leading TRAVEO™ T2G family of body and dashboard microcontrollers with Green Hills' comprehensive, production-proven software solutions that include: Mu-velosity ™ Real-Time Operating System (RTOS), an AsIL-certified ultra-compact operating system, and the AsIL-certified MULTI® advanced development environment

The Infineon TRAVEO™ T2G family of body microcontrollers is designed for a variety of automotive applications, including body control modules, door, window, sunroof and seat control units, as well as in-car smartphone terminals and wireless charging units. The Infineon TRAVEO T2G-C Series microcontroller (MCU) for automotive dashboards provides a more robust and feature-rich graphics engine for automotive display systems such as conventional dashboards, hybrid dashboards and virtual dashboards, making them highly scalable.
Green Hills' µ-velOSity real-time operating system is compact, easy to program, and efficient in memory management. The operating system is widely used and is suitable for applications that require the ASIL certification. µ-velOSity needs only a few kilobytes of ROM (read only memory) to boot quickly in the shortest processor cycles. The operating system (OS) features such as ultra-short context-switching times and the ability to invoke kernel services quickly make it ideal for supporting real-time car functionality. In addition, the operating system has a straightforward application programming interface (API) that reduces product development time and increases product maintainability, thereby reducing costs and speeding product time-to-market. µ-velOSity also offers excellent migration paths for independent developers or those originally operating with no OS configuration.
Developers using the Infineon TRAVEO T2G body microcontroller family can dramatically increase their productivity by taking advantage of Green Hills MULTI's advanced, integrated development tools, including the optimized Green Hills C/C++ compiler. The superior performance of Green Hills' compiler and runtime library, as well as its ASIL certification, has made Green Hills the industry standard for C/C++ compilers. With MULTI's advanced multi-core and multi-operating system debugging and visualization capabilities, developers can find and fix bugs more quickly, reduce processor memory usage, and reduce the number of software recalls to reduce costs.
