HOLTEK's new BLDC motor Flash MCU with lithium battery charging control

     For DC brushless motor control field, Holtek launched Flash MCU BD66FM5252 combined with lithium battery charging control. Brushless DC motor products used in handheld charging can save charging IC cost, giving the product unique competitiveness. In terms of motor control, it can support square wave and chord wave drive. Sensorless enhanced filter can make the starting belt rotation or low speed control more stable. It is very suitable for all kinds of three-phase or single-phase BLDC motor products.

     BD66FM5252 has 8K×16 Flash ROM, 2K×8 RAM, 512×8 EEPROM and internal system frequency of 20MHz, has 11 channels 12-bit fast ADC, and configure 4 groups of PWM output/input capture function Timer. For the lithium battery charging function, add + 1% VBGREF, OPA reverse phase amplification and other functions, together with UL related functions, can meet the export market UL certification. For DC brushless motor control, the built-in BLDC motor control circuit includes 16-bit speed monitoring Timer, three groups of 10-bit Dead-time complementary PWM output and OCP overcurrent protection.

     The BD66FM5252 achieves the position detection of Hall element or Sensorless through the built-in 3 comparators, and strengthens the anti-electromotive force noise suppression filtering circuit. Hardware current protection control function, can directly set the limit of the output current, the motor can continue to run under the maximum protection current. BD66FM5252 provides 24-pin SSOP, 28-pin SSOP and 32-pin QFN (4×4) package, with rich MCU peripheral resources, and compatible with BD66FM5250 pin function, series of smooth conversion.
