Expanding the automotive motor magnetic sensor product line

     Alps Alps has added two new products to its magnetic sensor product portfolio to support the continuous electrification of cars. These devices are based on the company's record of steering angle detection and electronic gear shifter in the automobile market. With the popularity of driving aids and autonomous vehicle, redundant design is becoming more and more necessary for driving systems.

     The use of multiple sensors used to be a typical way to achieve redundancy, which can safely provide system functions even in the event of failure. In recent years, smaller systems usually mean fewer components, so there is a greater demand for angle sensors, which achieve redundancy by transmitting two output signals from a single product. The company's new magnetic sensor has a built-in amplifier, which can support size reduction and meet the redundancy design requirements through the single-end high output of 3Vpp.

     The dual die1 type meets the need of full redundancy design and can be provided as a single product. Magnetic sensors are expected to be used in automobile motors and can be used to create elastic conditions against external magnetic interference. This is because they have good neutral performance in high temperature environment up to 150C, and adopt original thin film technology to achieve 120mT strong magnetic resistance
