Bota Systems introduces a cutting-edge through-hole sensor
Bota Systems has introduced PixONE, a cutting-edge through-hole sensor that integrates high-performance electronics in a compact, ultra-light design. The sensor uses EtherCAT technology for high-speed data communication and supports PoE, reducing the complexity of electrical installation. Developed for seamless integration with robotic systems, it has a through-hole construction that enables internal cabling to improve robot agility and safety.
The sensor's innovative hollow shaft design enables it to seamlessly integrate the robot's arm and end-of-arm tool (EOT), maintaining the integrity of the internal cable routing. This design is very advantageous because many robot arm manufacturers are turning to internal wiring to eliminate cable entanglement and motion limitations.
The sensor's minimalist two-piece design not only simplifies assembly, but also greatly reduces the weight of the sensor, making it 30% lighter than similar sensors on the market. This is critical for dynamic systems, such as fast-moving robots, where excess weight can affect performance and operational efficiency.
Available in a variety of models with an outer diameter of just 2.36 "(60mm) and a through-hole diameter of 0.59" (15mm), the sensor includes an integrated IMU and offers a robust IP67 waterproof rating, making it ideal for a variety of operating environments.

The device is conveniently configured to support payloads of up to 250kg, maintaining a uniform interface between all models for fast integration. Its innovative design minimizes the number of external connections and components, significantly improving system reliability.
