Automotive FPC/FFC connectors support high-speed data and take up little space

     Hirose has expanded its line of FPC/FFC connectors to support the MIPI D-PHY (1.5Gbps) and eDP1.3 (5.4Gbps) specifications. With a pitch of 0.4mm and a height of only 2mm, the FH75M series enables high-speed data transmission in a very small space.

     The series is available in 100 locations, halogen-free and rohs compliant versions. Commonly used in automotive navigation, LiDAR, millimeter wave radar, dashcam, audio display and vehicle camera systems.

     Offering high contact reliability in harsh environments, the series features a two-point contact design with two independent springs that provide wiping action to prevent contact failure due to dust, dirt and other contaminants. Operating at temperatures up to 125 ° C, the series meets a wide range of thermal requirements in automotive applications. The series FPC connectors meet additional automotive needs, including resistance to shock and vibration, hydrogen and sulfur gases, humidity and corrosion.

     The connector uses a flip lock with FPC label and housing side buckle, providing a high holding force of 51.4N. The simple flip lock design provides easy FPC insertion and emits a clear tactile click to confirm full lock. The FPC connector has a user-friendly design that includes a wide taper to provide smooth FPC insertion.
