Vishay announces the NGR series of neutral ground resistors for the special inspection requirements of CSA coding

     Vishay Intertechnology announced that Vishay Milwaukee, one of Vishay Dale Resistors' product lines, now offers the NGR series of neutral ground resistors for CSA coding special testing. These resistors use a strapping movable design to eliminate no-load voltage during assembly, current grades from 100A to 1000A, resistance range from 1.39Ω to 80Ω.

     CSA Group is an independent, membership-based, non-profit organization dedicated to advancing safety, sustainability and social good, and is an internationally recognized standards development, testing and certification organization. Vishay offers special CSA coding tests for the NGR family of neutral ground resistors, enabling customers to go through the verification process in one go without actually certifying them, helping them get their products to market quickly and safely.

     In star wiring, NGR series resistors provide ground fault, overvoltage and short circuit protection for generators and transformers without exceeding IEEE-32 temperature limits. Resistors are available for CSA code special inspection, up to 8kV phase voltage and 13.8kV system voltage, and can withstand high temperatures of 760 ° C.
