The evaluation package provides simplicity for managing AUTOSAR complexity

     HighTec EDV-Systeme GMBH, in collaboration with Infineon Technologies, has released the AURIX TC4x MCAL evaluation package. This comprehensive package simplifies the development process of the new AutoSAR-based AURIX TC4x family by providing all the necessary tools in one package.

     Infineon's new AURIX TC4x family of multi-core MCUS is specifically targeted at automotive applications with high performance, safety and security requirements, such as area and domain controllers and engine management systems. With the new evaluation package, the two companies now offer a joint solution that allows software engineers to reduce installation time and increase the productivity of the development process, even for more complex AUTOSAR projects.

     The evaluation package includes the TC4x BASIC MCAL package, which contains all the basic drivers for hardware abstraction, and the EB tresos tool for easy configuration and integration. A necessary part of the bundle is HighTec's LLVM-based automotive grade TriCore C/ C ++ compiler: optimized for the TriCore architecture, its ISO 26262 ASIL D qualified compiler ensures the highest performance for safety-critical applications based on TC4x MCUS. The IDE comes with an integrated debugger that further simplifies application coding and testing. Examples of projects include getting started documentation and the MCAL GUI that complements the evaluation package.
