The connectivity solution extends with the new RP-TNC connector configuration
Amphenol RF has expanded its robust RP-TNC connector portfolio with a new configuration designed to accommodate microcoax cable types.Amphenol RF has expanded its robust reverse polarity TNC portfolio with further configurations to suit micro-coaxial cable types, including 0.81mm, 1.13mm, 1.32mm double shield, 1.37mm and RG-178.
These connectors support frequencies up to 9GHz and have a hexagonal shape that supports fitting and removal using a torque wrench. Connectors on ultra-flexible microcoax cable types are ideal for industrial, wireless, defense, and broadband applications.
These plugs and jacks are manufactured with nickel-plated brass and gold-plated beryllium copper contacts. They use teflon insulators similar to existing RP-TNC connectors and offer the same features and benefits that customers expect from this durable interface. A forward bulkhead jack configuration is available that can be fixed to the inside of the panel or housing to provide further security for sensitive systems.
The RP-TNCs uses a familiar threaded interface to ensure fit stability and reliable electrical performance. They join a robust portfolio of reverse polarity RF interconnects to meet a wide range of vertical design needs.
