Marvell and Tuxera introduce the industry's fastest full-featured NAS solution

     Marvell, a global leader in integrated chip solutions, and Tuxera, a leading provider of Windows and Mac-compatible file systems for Android, Linux and other operating systems, announced the industry's fastest full-featured NAS solution. Tuxera-optimized XFS and NTFS technologies are based on Marvell Kirkwood and ARMADA chipsets to deliver superior performance compared to comparable Linux solutions.

     Marvell and Tuxera's joint solution is designed to reduce overall development costs for customers' NAS platforms and bring products to market faster. The solution increases speed, enables a seamless user experience for a new generation of NAS applications, and enables full portability between NTFS and other storage formats. The solution is a major breakthrough as consumers and businesses look for efficient ways to access large amounts of data and multimedia files on connected devices.

Marvell and Tuxera's NAS solutions reach speeds of 129MB/s and deliver 2 GHz NAS performance. This is the highest NAS performance on the market. In addition, Tuxera has optimized and tuned XFS for the workloads most commonly encountered by Marvell customers. Tuxera's NTFS technology is the only solution in the industry that has been pre-integrated with Marvell's Kirkwood and ARMADA chipsets to achieve such high speeds.

     XFS is a mature and scalable file system that can be used with a variety of cpus and disk arrays (RAID). NTFS is currently the most popular, scalable and interoperable storage format for external backups.
